MA Fashion Show and Exhibition

The Fashion Show was held at Birmingham City University showcasing MA designs and raising money for Cancer Research and was a great success.
My fashion collection Out Of Africa that focuses on the tribal look mixing and over layering patterns and colour to build an African extravaganza. This look shows traditional African style and the glamour of a tribal queen. These are created using a range of textile processes both hand and digital to create an unusual collection pushing boundaries through technique and process. The scarves I used to create the outfits are found in all sorts of places from charity shop finds to vintage markets they have all been carefully handpicked looking for natural materials they then are transformed into new scarves.  Accessories were created embellishing found fabrics keeping with the up cycling theme. The process of re-making brings a new chapter to the journeys of both elements and in a combined reincarnation they become unique statements, starting out on a new adventure.
